When I first started my Teaching Resources Facebook page, I had no idea how much I would enjoy it or how much it would grow! I could never have imagined having 50,000 fans, but that number will be reached soon! Holy Moly! I just couldn't let that milestone pass without celebrating! One of the most amazing educational sites I discovered as a teacher was BrainPOP. If you don't know about it, you need to watch just one of their free videos and you'll be hooked! The videos are short and to the point, and the cartoon characters Tim and Moby are able to explain the most complex concepts easily. These videos provide a great springboard to discussion. I first discovered the website when I was looking for an appropriate way to explain the events of 911 to my students. Someone recommended their free video about this, and I've loved the site ever since. I was thrilled when they offered to donate a classroom subscription to BrainPOP or BrainPOP Jr, or you can choose the combo pack that has both of them. Awesome!
