Join Us for a Summer Book Study!

Book Study and Giveaway!

I'm excited to be joining a summer book study on TWO great books by "the sisters," Gail Boushey and Joan Moser. Each week we'll be exploring two chapters of one book, starting with The Daily 5 on July 1st and moving on to The CAFE Book on July 22nd. Right now we are just getting things started, but we wanted to let everyone know and invite you to join in the fun! Lorraine Vasquez of the Fabulous 4th Grade Froggies blog has created a collaborative blog for our book study called We Read,We Blog, We Teach. If you want to participate, just visit that page, follow the blog, and locate a copy of each book. Then keep checking that blog for more details about how to participate.

  4. Excited about this! I am changing from a self-contained 5th grade classroom to 6th grade LA/SS this year and am looking to breath some new life into how I teach. I can't wait to see what this is all about and how it is used in an upper elementary classroom!

  7. I will be going into my 3rd year of teaching 4th grade. At a recent evaluation, my principal asked me what the areas were that I needed support. I shared my lack of confidence with small group reading instruction. Ironically, she loaned me The Daily 5 and The CAFE Book for the summer. I am so happy (and lucky) to have come across this book study via Pinterest! Great timing! (I should also mention this will be the first time I follow a blog. Exciting!)
