For my second graders, I've always kept their final copies of writing all year, with the cute crafts that go with them. I always think I'll get them "filed" in scrapbooks, but never do. The end of the year is the perfect time for the kids to do this themselves! I hand out the writing from most recent to oldest. Then they start with what's on top of their stack and put the pieces in page protectors, add those to binders, and we make an adorable cover, which they color beautifully. This takes about thirty minutes a day for a week, or so, to accomplish. In the front pocket, I add a DVD of all the pictures I've taken all year, set to music. Parents and kids love it, and it keeps me sane!Smarter Balanced Teacherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17272286573163198157noreply@blogger.com
