My favorite...I love everything about these lessons. My favorite part, though, is how the art on the template first represents the anger and fire inside the child. This visual is easily imagined as one that can start small and grow. Many children are also aware of the devastating destruction that fire can cause if allowed to grow unchecked. Then that very same art is rotated by 90 degrees or so to represent the water that will subdue the fire. Students will readily understand the connection between the fire and their anger. However, they will begin to understand that they also have the ability within themselves to quench their own fires of anger. I really like the way you used the literature in combination with the cards and then related it to their lives. All of these connections serve to strengthen the lessons they are learning.
