  4. Hi Laura,
I recently discovered and contributed to the Caring Classrooms Community. I don't participate with facebook and was wondering if you have any other ways to request having a project posted on the site. I have shared the Caring Classrooms Community with teacher friends and they recently joined, too :) Thanks, Kelli www.donorschoose.org/kelli.fortino

    1. Kelli, I could not see a way to contact you on DonorsChoose so I'm hoping that you will see this message. No, I'm sorry but the only way to get a project posted on the Caring Classrooms giving page is to participate in the Facebook group that Francie Kugelman and I have set up for this. It's how the members of our community interact, and you'll find that to be true of most other giving pages. Teachers support each other with donations and helpful advice so it's kind of a package deal.

    1. Look for the Notes section at the top of the page and read about how it works. You'll also find resources on this page: http://lauracandler.com/filecabinet/donorschoose.php

  7. I have a request for help for some fellow teachers. How do you handle students who do not turn in their work, lie to their parents and say the teacher lost it, and parents who support the lie, even going as far as saying the saw the work finished when it was a in class assignment.
Parents like this almost for a colleague fired until it was pointed out that only this child had papers that were lost. Every tear teachers seem to gave trouble with students if this ilk.
